1. Drape the wrap over your shoulder opposite the hip on which you will carry your baby. |
2. Bring the front piece of fabric across the front of your body towards the opposite hip. |

3. Continue wrapping the front fabric section around your back and the back section around your front. Tie a double knot here. |
4. While supporting baby, insert one leg through the front side of the wrap. |

5. Insert the other leg through the backside of the wrap. The baby will now “sit” on the “X.” |
6. Spread the fabric over the baby's bottom, starting with the section of fabric closest to your baby. |

7. Spread the outer part of the fabric over baby’s bottom. Spread the fabric wide to distribute baby's weight. |
8. Make sure fabric is spread over the baby's torso. You may want to alternate shoulders periodically while carrying your baby in the Hip Hold. |
